Filters for vegetable oil clearing
The filters are designed for clearing of vegetable oil from mechanical impurities. Every filter for vegetable oil clearing is composed of: filter, compressor with a receiver for compressed air, containers for unpurified oil and pipelines with stop valves.
The filter for vegetable oil clearing consists of a rectangular package mounted on a frame made of alternating wooden frameworks and filtering partitions between them. The filtering partitions are made of filtering fabric (belting, lavsan, nylon etc.). For sealing, the package is pressed by a hand-operated screw clamping device with a clamping plate.
Operation of the filter for vegetable oil clearing
Oil to be filtered should be filled into container for unpurified oil. The container, by means of a hoseline, is connected to a receiver, in which the set air pressure is supported with the help of compressor (0.2 +/-1.5kg/cm2 ;). The compressed air makes the oil enter into the filter. Through a hole in a package the oil comes into inner cavities of pressure frameworks and seeps through filtering partitions into inner cavities of intake frameworks. The filtered sediment thus remains on a filtering partition, creating additional filter bed. The filtered oil from inner cavities of the intake frameworks through drainage tubes runs down into in the pallet. When filter bed size increases because of sediment growth it causes productivity decline for the filter, thus it is necessary to increase oil pressure with a help of the compressor.
Clearing of the filter for vegetable oil
When the filter pressure has reached its high recommended values, its further increase is inexpedient. It is necessary to make cleaning of the filter. With this purpose the oil feeding should be stopped. Using the clamping device one must turn out its clamping plate and to take filtering frameworks together with filtering partitions out from the package. There is made a mechanical cleaning of frameworks cavities and filtering partitions from sediment and, if necessary, the filtering partitions should be changed. For removal of waxy sediment compounds from filtering partitions, the partitions should be boiled in water with their consequent drying.
